Admission Requirements

1. An accredited Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three academic years from a recognized institution. 
2. C in Pre-Calculus 11 or equivalent
     
3. Students applying to the Post Degree Diploma program whose undergraduate degree was not taught in English must meet English language requirements. Those requirements may be met by completing ESL-092 and ESL-095 (minimum C+); or English Assessment; or a minimum TOEFL-550, TOEFL Computer Based Test (CBT) 213, TOEFL iBT 80 with no section lower than 19; or IELTS 6.0.
4. Or permission of the department

The number of qualified applicants normally exceeds the number of seats available therefore fulfillment of the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Admission is offered through a selective admission process.

Note: Effective 2021 FALL the admission requirement will be:

     or
   IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
    .  Students are recommended to take ENG 104  in the first semester. Students who do not have a band score of Academic IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 20, PTE 50, CAEL 60 or higher in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking will be required to take ENG 104  in the first semester.

Course Requirements

Courses counted toward the prerequisite degree may not also be counted toward the post degree diploma.

Completion Requirements

• A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
• Effective 2021 FALL: A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required.
