Admission Requirements

1. C in English 10 or equivalent
     
2. C in Math 10 or equivalent
     

Or successful completion of FSK 030  if the above requirements are not met.

3. High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

• HTC - 100 Fish Stock Enhancement and Stewardship
• HTC - 101 Biology of Wild Fish
• HTC - 102 Hatchery Design and Systems
• HTC - 103 Fish Hatchery Operations
• HTC - 104 Hatchery Health and Safety
• HTC - 105 Disease Management in Hatchery Environments
• HTC - 106 Stock Enhancement Practicum Environments

• Students not having current, valid Occupational First Aid, WHMIS, and Restricted Operator Certificate - Maritime are required to take these courses to meet program requirements. Separate fees will be charged for these courses.

• NAU - 016 Restricted Operator Certificate-Maritime
• OFA - 001 WHMIS 2015
• OFA - 010 Occupational First Aid Level 1

Completion Requirements

• You will be required to achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 2) in each of HTC 100  , HTC 101  , HTC 102  , HTC 103  , HTC 104  , and HTC 105   and a pass in HTC 106   and all industry certificate courses to achieve program completion.
• You must complete the program within three years.
• You must complete 100% of the program at NIC.
