	HMC - 137 Heavy Mechanical Trades Equipment 65 hours Hours This course encompasses the technical skills required to assess, plan and operate the many types of equipment which are vital to the safe removal and support of heavy loads. Students will also learn about support aids such as jacks, stands and blocking, chains, wire ropes, hoist requirements and procedures. This course follows the requirements of ITA Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Apprenticeship Level One. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Heavy Mechanical Trades Foundation Certificate program.
