3 Credit(s) This course surveys significant works of English literature from the late Medieval and Renaissance periods, focusing on major authors: Chaucer, Spenser, Shakespeare, Jonson, Donne, and Milton. Works are studied within the context of the philosophical, social, religious and political thought and conditions of the times.
