5 Credit(s) Students will learn the full range of DC theory including atomic structure, current flow, resistance, Ohm’s Law, series circuits, parallel circuits, series-parallel circuits, Kirchhoff’s Laws, advanced circuit theorems, WYE and delta networks, and DC circuit analysis. Extensive laboratory exercises are used to reinforce and prove theoretical studies, and to provide ‘hands-on’ experience in the care and use of basic test equipment. The use of simulation software will also allow students to compare and learn the operation of basic circuits.
Prerequisite(s):
Admission to Instrumentation and Electrical Automation Technician programs
