Office Administration-Office Management Certificate
|
|
The Office Management certificate is a full-time program, with extended part-time options available. Upon successful completion of this certificate, you will have completed 40 per cent of NIC’s Business Administration certificate which secures you advanced standing in the program. You will be well-prepared for employment as a supervisor, office manager, and administrative or executive assistant. You can complete one to five courses during the fall term (September) and one to five courses in the winter term (January), to take a minimum 30 weeks to complete.

Admission Requirements
- Office or business work experience with a minimum two years, or approval of the department.
- Letter of reference from a supervisor including the NIC Office Management skills checklist
- C+ in one of Provincial English 12, English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12, NIC ENG 096 , or ENG 098 ; or C+ in ESL 092 and ESL 095 ; or English assessment. Or, permission of the department.
- C+ in Foundations of Math 11, or C in one of Principles of Math 11, Pre-Calculus 11, Applications of Math 12, or NIC MAT 053 ; or Math assessment. Or, permission of the department.
or
Graduate with Office Administration - Office Assistant I Certificate and one of the following certificates: Administrative Assistant, Computing Accounting Assistant, Legal Administrative Assistant, Medical Office Assistant; plus, letter of reference from a supervisor including the NIC Office Management skills checklist.

- Students must achieve a minimum of a B- in each OAD course listed.
