Workplace Professionalism: Skills for Employment Retention

Develop your communication skills, people skills and social skills. These soft skills are important for career success. Learn how to identify and demonstrate a positive customer service experience, attitudes for success, effective workplace interpersonal skills and workplace safety practices. Gain decision making, goal setting and problem solving strategies.  You will gain awareness of community resources, set health management goals (nutrition, fitness and stress management) and produce a portfolio of your learning, career interests and goals. Depending on your skills, you may exit to competitive employment, supported work, volunteer positions or further specific skills training. Types of employment will range according to your ability, interests and the local labour market.
