Electrician Foundation Harmonized Certificate

The Electrician Foundation Harmonized program is delivered full-time over 24 weeks. You will participate in enhanced Level 1 theoretical training, including lab work which enhances your learning of introductory electrical theory through the application of this new knowledge. You will learn how to correctly and safely use measuring instruments (meters), power supplies and other electrical equipment.  You will learn the interpretation of the latest edition of the Canadian Electrical Code and how these modern wiring techniques are being used in the residential and light commercial construction industries.

Upon successful completion of this program, your acquired knowledge and skill will make you eligible to receive technical training credit for Level 1 of the Electrical apprenticeship and 350 hours of work-based credit toward your total apprenticeship hours requirement.

Admission Requirements


  1.  , and
  2. C+ in one of Principles of Math 11, Foundations of Math 11, Pre-Calculus 11, NIC MAT 053 , NIC MAT 055 ; or NIC Electrical Foundation Accuplacer assessment for math; and
  3. High School graduation is preferred.

Course Requirements


Completion


Students will be required to achieve a minimum C in each course to pass the program.  Student will be required to pass all industry certificate courses to achieve program completion requirements.
