Parts and Warehousing Person Foundation Certificate

Gain the foundational skills to support ordering, warehousing and inventory for a variety of industries like automotive, commercial transportation and resource trades. You’ll learn how parts, accessories and warehouse products make their way from manufacturing to consumers, how to receive goods and sort parts, supplies and materials in a warehouse and maintain shipping and receiving records.  Upon successful completion of this program, your acquired knowledge and skill will make you eligible to receive Level 1 technical training credit towards your Parts and Warehousing Person apprenticeship and 300 hours towards work-based credit toward your total apprenticeship hours requirement.

  1. Must reside in BC and be Canadian Citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons
  2. Have a SIN and be at least 15
  3. Must be unemployed or precariously employed (part time, seasonal and/or casual)
  4. Have been impacted by COVID-19 and are seeking training to obtain a job

Admission Requirements


  1. C in English 10 or equivalent  
  2. C in Math 10 or equivalent  
  3. High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

Course Requirements


Completion Requirements


  • Students will be required to achieve a minimum C in each course to pass the program. 
  • Student will be required to pass all industry certificate courses to achieve program completion requirements.
  • 100% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
