Business Administration Diploma

The Business Administration Diploma at NIC offers you the chance to explore careers in management, marketing and accounting, helping you find the right path. Learn from experienced faculty, connect with business leaders, and gain practical experience through paid co-op placements and applied learning. Graduates emerge ready to succeed in a range of local and international business careers.

Admission Requirements

Students are recommended to take ENG 104 in the first semester. Students who do not have a band score of Academic IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 20, PTE 50, CAEL 60 or higher in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking will be required to take ENG 104 in the first semester.

Plus one elective totaling 3 credits chosen from courses numbered 100 or higher that transfer to a BC degree-granting institution.

Note: Students intending to advance in Accounting as part of the Business Diploma or Degree program should take STA 115  as their elective in Year 1.

For CO-OP Students Only:

Students must complete EMP 100  in the Fall Term as a prerequisite in Co-operative Education Work Term (BUS 197 ) in the Spring. BUS 197  may be used as an elective for the Diploma program.

NOTE: Students may exit with a Business Administration Certificate.

Completion Requirements

A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required.
Must be completed within 5 years.
A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
