IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

One of:

• Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5) 

Students who do not have a band score of IELTS 6.0 or higher in Reading and Writing will be required to take English 104

• TOEFL iBT 80 overall with no subsection less than 19
• TOEFL Computer based test (CBT) 213
• TOEFL 550 (Code 8538)
• CAEL 60 and writing 60
• PTE Academic 54 overall with no component less than 46
• Duolingo English Test 105 taken after January 2020 (re-test score within 3 weeks between each testing is NOT accepted); or
• Equivalency as determined by North Island College Admissions Department
