BIO - 260 Pathobiology I 3 Credit(s) This course is the first half of an overview of basic health science. It provides an introduction to the principles of pathophysiology, microbiology, immunology, pharmacology, and nutrition relevant to nursing. The focus is on concepts and mechanisms, with prototype diseases and prototype drugs given as examples. A series of assignments provides opportunities to investigate other diseases that may be encountered in the clinical area.
Prerequisite(s):
- BIO 161 and enrolment in the 2nd year Nursing Program Minimum Grade C
