IMG - 209 User Experience and Interface Design

This course further develops the theory and skills gained in IMG 208, with a focus on designing for screens. Simulating the workflow of a real-world studio environment, students create design systems that balance client objectives, aesthetics and user requirements. Students work through one term-long project divided into multiple assignments that adhere to the key phases of a typical website design process. Learning to code HTML and CSS using a front-end framework is also an important part of this course. This course is essential for the development of a working portfolio.

Prerequisite(s):

Completion of 1st year Communication Design Diploma and completion of IMG 208
