You’ll be prepared for a wide range of opportunities in the mechanics trade from automotive service technician and parts technician to service writer or service manager.

Or successful completion of FSK 030 if the above requirements are not met.

High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

AMH - 103 General Automotive Maintenance
AMH - 104 General Automotive Practices
AMH - 105 Brake Systems
AMH - 106 Steering Systems
AMH - 107 Suspension Systems
AMH - 108 Basic Electrical Systems
AMH - 109 Work Habits
Students not having current, valid First Aid and WHMIS certification are required to take these courses to meet program requirements. Separate fees will be charged for WHMIS and First Aid.
WSF - 019 Orientation to WHMIS Online
FAC - 020 Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C
Based on availability of placements with industry, Trades Foundation students may have an opportunity to participate in an optional Work Experience: WXT 100 Work Experience-Trades Foundation

In this program, students may participate in field trips to industry specific locations.

Completion Requirements

Students will be required to achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 2) in each course to pass the program.
