Timber Cruising II Micro-credential

Aligned with the criteria set by BCFP’s Cruiser Accreditation, the content of this course covers competency requirements (less the field time requirements) for Levels 2 and 3. This program will equip students with the knowledge and foundational skills to perform the duties of a cruiser-in-training, and prepare them to work towards level 2 and 3 accreditations.

Admission Requirements

CFW 106 or RFT 106 or equivalent experience
CFW 104 or RFT 104 or equivalent experience
CFW 113 or RFT 113 or equivalent experience

Course Requirements

RFT - 116 Forest Measurements and Sampling Techniques
RFT - 117 Statistical Analysis for Forestry

Completion Requirements

Students will be required to achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 1) in each course to pass the program.
The Program must be completed within 2 years.
A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
