Instrumentation and Electrical Automation Technician Diploma

Blend industry best practices and data management with technical expertise to thrive in various sectors. Gain skills in installing, programming, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation, logic controllers and electrical systems crucial for industrial automation in manufacturing and heavy industry. This training offers graduates pathways to Red Seal certification in electrical or instrumentation apprenticeship programs, or progression to advanced degrees in electrical engineering. 

Admission Requirements

  3. Physics 12 or PHY 060 is recommended.  High school graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites. 
  4. Prior learning assessment is possible for industry professionals. 

Completion Requirements


  • Students will be required to achieve a minimum B- (Grade Scale 1) in each course to pass the program.  Students will be required to achieve a P (Pass) in all practicum and industry certificate courses.  
  • Students must complete this program within 3 years.
