Construction Craft Worker Apprenticeship


Gain essential trades-based workplace skills required on construction sites, including site preparation and clean up, setting up and removing access equipment, assisting with concrete, masonry, steel, wood and other projects. Construction Craft Worker duties are responsible for handling materials and equipment, performing demolition, excavation and compaction activities and may also be responsible for safety and security checks. NIC offers both level 1 and 2 technical training credit towards your Interprovincial (Red Seal) when you register as an apprentice.

Admission Requirements


1. Registered as an apprentice with SkilledTradesBC

2. Must be working for an employer with at least one qualified journeyperson. 

Not registered as an apprentice?

Ask your employer to register you as an apprentice with SkilledTradesBC. It’s free, simple, and can be completed online or printed and mailed to the SkilledTradesBC Head Office. 

NOTE:  If you have previously applied to our Apprenticeship Program within the last year and now want to register for subsequent levels, please complete the Apprentice Training Registration Form and email it to forms@nic.bc.ca

If it has been more than a year since you have first applied to NIC’s Apprenticeship Program, please submit a new application.

Course Requirements


Apprentices enrolling in technical training must take their training in sequential order, levels 1, then 2. You must complete all levels of technical training to be eligible to write the Interprovincial (Red Seal) examination.
