Automotive Refinishing Technician Apprenticeship Harmonized

Advanced your skills as an Automotive Refinishing Technician while earning your Level 2 technical training credit toward your Interprovincial Red Seal certification when you register as an apprentice. In this creative trade you will match colours, use fine-detail to blend paints and apply primers and final coats, perform inspections and operate and maintain spray booth, mixing and drying equipment. Upon successful completion of all apprenticeship levels and the required industry hours, you may write the SkilledTradesBC exam to achieve your Certificate of Qualification.

Admission Requirements

1. Registered as an apprentice with SkilledTradesBC

2. Must be working for an employer with at least one qualified journeyperson.

NOTE: If you have previously applied to our Apprenticeship Program within the last year and now want to register for subsequent levels, please complete the Apprentice Training Registration Form and email it to forms@nic.bc.ca

Course Requirements

Dates and classes may change or be cancelled depending on demand.

Apprentices enrolling in technical training must take their training in sequential order, levels 1, then 2. You must complete all levels of technical training to be eligible to write the Interprovincial (Red Seal) examination.
