Admission Requirements

1. C in English 10 or equivalent or successful English assessment
     
2. C in Math 10 or equivalent or successful Math assessment
      

Or successful completion of FSK 030  if the above requirements are not met.

3. High school graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

• FFH - 102 Tools And Equipment in Metal Fabrication
• FFH - 103 Drawing Interpretation in Metal Fabrication
• FFH - 104 Metal Fabrication Structural Drawings
• FFH - 105 Pattern Development & Layout Techniques
• FFH - 106 Materials Handling & Weight Calculations
• FFH - 107 Welding Processes in Metal Fabrication
• FFH - 108 Thermal Cutting Equipment And Processes
• FFH - 109 Quality Control in Metal Fabrication
• FFH - 110 Material Fabrication of Components
• FFH - 111 Oxy-Fuel Fusion Welding, Braze Welding, and Brazing
• FFH - 112 Fundamentals of Shielded Metal Arc Welding
• FFH - 113 Semi-Automatic and Automatic Wire Feed Welding Processes

• Students not having current, valid First Aid, WHMIS and Forklift certification are required to take these courses to meet program requirements. Separate fees will be charged for First Aid, WHMIS and Forklift courses.

• FAC - 020 Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C
• WSF - 019 Orientation to WHMIS Online

• Based on availability of placements with industry, Trades Foundation students may have an opportunity to participate in an optional Work Experience: WXT 100 Trades Work Experience  

   

  In this program, students may participate in field trips to industry specific locations.

Completion Requirements

• Students will be required to achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 2) in each course to pass the program.
• Student will be required to pass all industry certificate courses to achieve program completion requirements.
