Launch your career in the trades with training to qualify you to become an Automotive Refinishing or Collision Repair Technician. You’ll learn about repairing and restoring damaged vehicles, mixing paints and using spray guns to apply primer, base coats and clear coats. Earn your Level 1 technical training credit and work-based training hours toward your Interprovincial Red Seal certification when you register as an apprentice. Gain valuable skills through theory and applied learning in NIC’s classroom and shop in Campbell River.

Admission Requirements

- Or successful completion of FSK 030 if the above requirements are not met.
- High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites
Completion Requirements
- Students will be required to achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 2) in each course to pass the program.
- Student will be required to pass all industry certificate courses to achieve program completion requirements.
- 100% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
