Motor Sport and Power Equipment Technician Foundation Certificate

Gain foundational skills to diagnose, repair, adjust and replace engines, drive trains, suspension and electrical systems on small to medium sized power products like motorcycles, ATVs, generators and inboard/outboard motors. The Motor Sport and Power Equipment Technician Foundation program provides Level 1 technical training credit for apprentices on your path to your Interprovincial Red Seal.

Or successful completion of FSK 030  if the above requirements are not met. 

  1. High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

Completion Requirements


  • Students will be required to achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 2) in each course to pass the program. 
  • Student will be required to pass all industry certificate courses to achieve program completion requirements.
  • 100% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
