This training familiarizes resource workers with technology and software used in natural resource management, such as spreadsheets, Roadeng, tablet navigation, data collection apps, Eos Arrow GNSS, and mobile mapping apps. Participants will learn to configure, calibrate, and use mobile solutions at different accuracy levels. Emphasis is on data collection techniques, integrity, transfer, management, and basic analytics. The training explores technology benefits, capabilities, and limitations.

Admission Requirements

C in English 10 or equivalent or successful English assessment
C in Math 10 or equivalent or successful Math assessment
Or successful completion of FSK 030 if the above requirements are not met.
High School graduation is preferred but not required provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

Course Requirements

Completion Requirements

Students will be required to achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 1) in each course to pass the program.
The Program must be completed within the delivery timelines.
A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
