TTA - 400 Truck and Transport Mechanic Apprenticeship Level 4

150 Hours

This 5-week Level 4 Truck and Transport Mechanic Apprenticeship covers truck hydraulic assisted steering systems, hybrid electrical systems, advanced hydraulic systems, suspension, and advanced brake systems. It also covers some aspects of trailers such as heating and refrigeration systems. Completion of Level Four Truck and Transport Mechanic Apprenticeship training allows students to write their Interprovincial Red Seal exam to receive their Red Seal as a Truck and Transport Mechanic (TTM) or to write their Interprovincial Red Seal exam to receive their Red Seal as a Transport Trailer Technician (TTT), depending on which Apprenticeship stream they’re registered in.

Prerequisite(s):

SkilledTradesBC Registered Apprentice
Must be working for an employer with at least one qualified journeyperson
Students must pass HVA 100 or Heavy Mechanical Foundations if they want to register in TTA 400 then write their Red Seal exam for Transport Trailer Technician
