RBA - 100 Residential Buiding Maintenance Worker Level 1

This course helps develop skilled professionals to take part in BC’s booming housing industry in the role of a Residential Building Maintenance Worker. The course covers essential skills in multiple areas of building maintenance such as minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating, flooring, drywall repair and painting.  

In this course students will learn basic trade terminology to describe buildings and building maintenance work as well as safe work practices, tool use, introductory plane geometry, and basic repair skills for windows, concrete, stairs, drywall, and kitchen components.

Prerequisite(s):

1. Registered as an apprentice with SkilledTradesBC
2. Must be working for an employer with at least one qualified journeyperson
