Learn More About Heavy Mechanical Plus Micro-credential


This program provides you with the core competencies required by industry. Learn how to repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy-duty equipment used in transportation, construction, resource trades, agriculture, and many more. Earn Level 1 technical training credit and specialized skills in heavy mechanical trades: truck and transport mechanic, transport trailer technician, heavy duty equipment technician and diesel engine mechanic. Gain meaningful and timely in-demand transferable essential skills training inclusive of safety, workplace skills, essential applied trades math, communications and English, respectful workplace and diversity, and leadership skills, with training to prepare learners for the workforce needs and demands of the 21st Century. 

Upon completion of the program, you’ll qualify for your certificate of completion for the Heavy Mechanical Foundation Harmonized program and will earn Level 1 technical training credit and work-based training hours when you register as an apprentice.
