Coastal Forest Technology Diploma

Developed with the input of industry leaders and with a focus on applied and experiential learning, the 2-year Coastal Forestry Technology Diploma program prepares graduates to keep pace with the latest practices and technologies required by the BC Forestry Sector.  You’ll gain a comprehensive foundation in ecology, silviculture, forest measurements, forest operations, sustainable resource management, cultural resource management, communication skills and occupational safety.

Admission Requirements

  3. High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

Completion Requirements

  1. You will be required to achieve a minimum of C for each course and successfully pass all industry certificate courses to achieve program completion requirements.
  2. The Coastal Forest Technician Diploma must be completed within 3 years of admission to the program.
  3. A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
