Resource Field Assistant Micro-credential

Admission Requirements

1. C in English 10 or equivalent or successful English assessment
     
2. C in Math 10 or equivalent or successful Math assessment
     

Or successful completion of FSK 030  if the above requirements are not met.

3. High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

• RCT - 101 Introduction to Ecosystems, the Environment and Reclamation
• RCT - 102 Introduction to Communities and the Resource Sector
• RCT - 103 Fundamentals of Data Collection, Mapping, and Technical Communication
• RCT - 104 Introduction to Health and Safety for the Resource Sector
• RCT - 105 Introduction to Resource Field Methods and Sampling Techniques
• RCT - 106 Introduction to Workplace Readiness Skills in the Resource Sector
• RCT - 107 Introduction to Flora and Fauna
• RCT - 108 Introduction to Natural Resource Management
• RCT - 109 Resource Field Safety Practices
• RCT - 110 Applied Resource Field Studies

Completion Requirements

• Students will be required to achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 2) in each course to pass the program. 
• The Resource Field Assistant Micro-credential must be completed within 3 years of admission to the program.
• A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
