Natural Resource Field Safety Micro-credential

Admission Requirements

1. C in English 10 or equivalent or successful English assessment
     
2. C in Math 10 or equivalent or successful Math assessment
     
3. Or successful completion of FSK 030  if the above requirements are not met.
4. High School graduation is preferred but not required provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.

Course Requirements

• CFW - 102 Forest Health and Safety
• CFW - 107 Workplace Readiness Skills
• FOR - 012 Basic S100 Fire Suppression & Safety
• OFA - 015 Occupational First Aid Transportation Endorsement
• WFO - 015 Wildfire Entrapment Avoidance
• WSF - 018 Fall Protection Awareness
• WSF - 019 Orientation to WHMIS Online

•  

  One of the following:

• OFA - 010 Occupational First Aid Level 1 or
• FAC - 020 Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C

•  

  One of the following:

• MED - 003 Small Non-Pleasure Domestic Vessel Basic Safety (SDV-BS) or
• NAU - 005 Small Vessel Operator Proficiency Training Course

•  

  One of the following:

• NAU - 016 Restricted Operator Certificate-Maritime or
• NAU - 051 Restricted Operator Certificate-Maritime Commercial or
• ROC - 010 Restricted Operator Certificate- Aeronautical (ROC-A)

Completion Requirements

• You will be required to pass all industry certification courses and achieve a minimum C (Letter Grade Scale 1) in CFW 102  and CFW 107  to pass the program. 
• The Program must be completed within 2 years. 
• A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
