RCT - 120 Introduction to Ecosystems and Environmental Science 2.5 Credit(s) This course explores terrestrial and aquatic ecosystem classifications and the Biogeoclimatic Ecosystem Classification system (BEC) used in BC. Students will examine ecosystem functions and processes, and the concepts of ecosystem services, resilience, and the interdependence between ecosystems. Ecosystem identification, sampling and mapping will be discussed throughout.
Prerequisite(s):
Or successful completion of FSK 030 if the above requirements are not met.
High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites.
