ENR - 216 Introductory Electricity and Magnetism 3 Credit(s) This course introduces topics in Electricity and Magnetism and explores both their theoretical and practical applications. Students will study electrostatics (electric charges, electrostatic forces and fields, electric potential, and capacitance) and magnetism (magnetic forces and fields, magnetic-field generation, magnetic flux, inductance) before being introduced to Maxwell’s equations. Students will also study current electricity and common circuit components in both direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) circuits and learn about the properties of transmission lines.
Prerequisite(s): Corequisite(s):
- MAT 210 must be taken concurrently if not already completed.
- Take ENR 216L
