FJF - 102 Material Selection

135 Hours

This course introduces solid wood, plywood, composites board materials and their applications in Woodworking trades. Emphasis will also be given to plastic laminates, specialty materials, adhesives, and hardware along with their recommended handling and storage practices. This course follows the requirements of SkilledTradesBC Cabinet Maker (Joiner) Level 1.

Prerequisite(s): Admission into the Furniture Design and Joinery Certificate program.
