HMC - 136 Welding in the Heavy Mechanical Trades

This course provides an introduction to the practical welding skills required of students in the Heavy Mechanical trades. Emphasis will be placed on oxy-acetylene cutting and brazing, as well as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) techniques. This course follows the requirements of SkilledTradesBC Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Apprenticeship Level One.

Prerequisite(s):

Admission to the Heavy Mechanical Trades Foundation Certificate program.
