HSW - 250 Advanced Practice Experience

This advanced practicum provides students with the opportunity to build on foundational human and social service skills and engage in more complex professional experiences within a community agency setting. Each placement site is unique, offering learning shaped by its mandate, client population, and service model, allowing students to adapt their practice to diverse contexts. The practicum is 168 hours (typically 24 hours per week for 7 weeks). Learning is supported through seminars (7 hours total) that connect field learning with professional theory and practice.

Prerequisite(s):

C in all Human Services Diploma courses (SSW 120 , SSW 122 , and three second year SSW courses).
