Are you doing all of the work of a Journey-person Carpenter but lack the ‘ticket’? Join us for this 60 hour course that will delve into the fundamentals and explain the theoretical concepts and practices of the trade. This course will assist carpenters that meet the ITA’s criteria to challenge the Certificate of Qualification examination in the trade of Carpenter. The course covers trade mathematics, tools and safety, blueprint reading, layout, materials, formwork and foundations, framing, roof framing, residential standards and finishing. Candidates to challenge the examination require documentation of at least 9,720 hours working in the trade.
