The scope of the lodging industry provides future managers and operators with unique opportunities and challenges. Students in this course will gain valuable knowledge about the complexities linked to managing hotels and resorts. Various topics and/or concepts will be explored including ownership structures, planning & development processes, departmental functions and interrelationships, service experience management, guest safety and loss prevention, & industry trends 

Prerequisite(s): C in one of ENG 160, ENG 115, ENG 116, ENG 117 and THM 100 or THM 107
