Learn more about Fabricator-Welder Micro-credential Combination


This unique project offers level one Metal Fabricator and Welder technical training through four micro-credentials thereby providing trades certification for both skilled trades while also offering formal endorsements of this skill-based trades program. You will also earn 225 work-based training hours credit toward your Interprovincial (Red Seal) certification in either Metal Fabrication or Welding.  

Micro-credentials are distinct, flexible and skills-based training that formally acknowledge that achievement of core trades competencies required by industry.

The training will develop all nine essential skills specific to work in the metal trades including trades math, communication, respectful workplace and diversity training; planning and time management; project planning and costing; workplace safety, trades technologies, tools and equipment used in the Trades. Students will also earn short-term certificates in Occupational First Aid, WHMIS and Forklift Operation.
